Peggy is our hostess this week, and she has challenged us with the bold and bright combination of Cucumber Crush, Tangelo Twist and Rich Razzleberry. The dessert option is to add black and/or white to our cards.
Last May, Nancy Littrell posted this beautiful card for one of our Color Challenges. I chose it as my favorite for the week, immediately ordered the stencil she used, fooled around with the technique a bit, but never actually made a card with it . . .
. . . Until this week, when inspiration hit! To be honest, I was having a little difficulty coming up with a design for this week's colors. Then I learned that Nancy is one of our two new Guest Designers for the month of September, and I knew I wanted to CASE her card from last May. I used the same stencil, but different colors of ink, substituted a flower instead of the butterfly, and used a different sentiment.

I saw your card and instantly thought.....Barbara is using my very Favorite Stencil! Now I Just finished reading all the story! So pleased your card turned out so beautifully. Remember, you don't have to use all the stencil. I used just parts for ages until I got the idea to use the entire stencil. It is so versatile and your card is so creative and beautiful Barb. TFS and choosing me as your Favorite in May. Win, Win for both of us my friend.
