I spent this evening organising September birthday cards, and as I put this card into an envelope, I realised that I never uploaded it. It was originally intended as a sample for Kelli's DTGD challenge, but by the time I'd finished the card it was pretty hard to see how it fit the challenge ;-), so it got put aside.
For the base, I sponged watercolour paper with distress inks in blues and greens, misted with Perfect Pearls in gold, and laid a harlequin stencil over it. When dry, I added the gold clock, then stamped Harlequin on the base and on spare paper. I scored lines under his feet, and then rubbed copper all round the edges. And finally, I added some chunky gold EP.
The second harlequin was coloured, fussy-cut and added to the base. The sentiment was stamped on some old scrap and edged with Stickles, and to finish, I added some fun fibres and gem brads, and some strands of gold embroidery floss.
For the base layer, I painted it with black acrylic paint and sprinkled red, gold and blue glitter over it before it dried. I loved how it turned out, but I couldn't fit it with any of the other DTGD challenges!! Well, maybe Angie's, but I had something else for that.

I love your fibers! I have so many but don't know how to exactly use them. They are so perfect with your harlequin theme. Nice fussy cutting, too, Sabrina. TFS

Jaw dropping spectacular. I have been looking at this for the longest time, there is so much to take in. Everything is incredible, the edges look so vibrant, the top panel is spectacular and if that wasn't enough, your harlequin stole the show. The fibres look fabulous. Brilliant card Sabrina. Thank you for the detailed description too.
