This was a leftover from DTGD KelliJo's challenge. I was expecting a dramatic effect and sidelined this with many others until I revisited this a day later and began to see something different. The birch tree was intended for another project, but when i borrowed it for this panel, it was destiny. Not only was the perceived technique a challenge for me, but photography was, as well. My phone captured it perfectly, but the contrasting colors got lost in transfer.
I brayered distress inks onto a white panel, spritzed a stencil with Mandarin perfect pearls. Added a die cut birch tree (accented edges with a charcoal pencil), stamped quote and assembled.
