A year ago I had back surgery and during my recovery I mentioned to my doctor that I wasn't looking for normal - "Normal is as elusive as a Unicorn - it doesn't exist. I just want to be a zebra in a party hat!" Because really, once your body goes through a trauma it never is the same, and we can't just dwell on what we can't do, but focus on how we can do things differently. And as I am feeling great and am in better shape than I've been in a long time, I thought I should say thank you again and share this with him.

Oh wow!!!! What an amazing saying! I love that! It's true. I went through a chronic ailment for three years and even though I am on the other side of it, I have side effects. Since being SO much better I totally ignore the effects but you are right our bodies don't go back. I LOVE your attitude and this card is a delight!!! I won't soon forget this cute card or the sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge!

Lorraine, this is wonderful - both the card and your positive attitude behind it. I bet your surgeon wishes more people were happy to accept the best he can do and move forward from there. I totally love your sentiment on this - and your great drawing.

I've been plagued with a variety of internet issues over the last two weeks, so I'm sorry for the delay in letting you know how much I appreciate you participating in my challenge and your contributions here at Splitcoast! ~ xoxo
