This was done for Robin's dare to get dirty challenge. and since everything but the kitchen sink was used here and my fingers were blue it really was a dirty one lol. most of the coloring was done faux watercoloring with distress inks on acrylic blocks. the watercolor paper has some streams of light coming through the water from the top right corner, not sure if that is really visible and the plant life was stamp with versafine and heat embossed on a gelli print I made a while back on deli paper so its cut out and only glued along the bottom edge so it free floats around the winged mermaid. Since she has such a cute face I decided to barley give her skin any color and that is one pass with a copic there. the scales on her tail and bits and pieces of the wings have some gelly roll glitter pen on them. I will get some other shots of this up on the blog later. are you playing along with us? you can find out more how to here. tfl.

Oh my goodness, this is not only jaw dropping spectacular I also burst out laughing when I saw your mermaids super happy smile......why is it that most mermaids look serious. Every inch of this is fabulous Stacy, I love the effect you achieved with the distress ink on an acrylic block. I am still trying to work out the deli paper bit, but wow, I love it. The colours are brilliant.....everything is brilliant!!!!
