Our challenge today (WT540) is to include something that you would take on a picnic...I stamped and then paper pieced the picnic basket, the flowers, the and the napkin. I chose the gingham pp because I thought it would be suggestive of a picnic tablecloth. It may not be clear in the photo, but I die cut the circle in the card front and the picnic basket is actually in the inside of the card. Makes it a little harder to photograph. Colored the leaves with copics.

Maura this is fantastic. What a truly brilliant take on the challenge. I love all the paper piecing, especially on the flowers - the unexpected is always the best!! I bet it looks even more special in real life. Love it!!

A picnic hamper filled with gingham tulips...what could be prettier, Maura?? I also like you use of gingham to look like the corner of a picnic table cloth against the navy, it looks smashing! Truly a delightful b'day card.

Love the paper piecing on this and the wonderful layout!! We were thinking alike that gingham is just the go to cloth for picnicking.
