I rarely make Christmas cards since red is not a fav. color of mine, however, I had this bg and just went with it. Like most of my bgs, this was an accident. I have been trying to sell some of my sisters things that are in better condition to help her out. She did mostly pastel landscapes, but bought a lot of other stuff that she did not use. She had a bag of Vivid color spots ink pads that were old and mostly dried up. I was testing them to see which were worth keeping, and ended up with this interesting bg. It sort of looked like Christmas - well, at least to my odd sense of design it did- so I stamped the "Joy" in 4 different directions for the TLC challenge, and used the Christmas theme for the CAS challenge. I doodled the border for the MIX challenge to use doodling. I had to add a lot of white and gold gel pen plue some perfect pearl dots because it was too dark. There are some green stickles on the pine branches also to lighten it up. TFL, Francie

Oh, I can see why the background would make you think of Christmas - it's like glowing fairy lights to me. But Francie, Christmas cards don't have to have red! However, I'm glad this one does - it looks so festive with all those little red berries - and the snowy look of the pinecone is brilliant.

I love how you stamped the JOY around the edges...brilliant idea! This is very festive and perhaps could be a tie dyed version of Christmas..really groovy ;)

I love how you create, Francie! The bright colors on this are fabulous and so festive for Christmas. Who knew someone could make a beautiful background testing ink pads but you succeeded. Awesome card!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! Goodness, in your attempts to figure out what was worth keeping, you certainly managed to create a very special card. Love the center image and all your other details. I think this is so great ....

I loved how you framed your colorful panel with not only the line images but the word JOY, Francie. Also love your pine cone image with the bits of snow on the edges!

Oh, Francie, what an amazing experiment! LOL! And what a fabulous card with all these gorgeous colors. I love how you've stamped the "joy" around the pine cone, and this is going to be favorite Christmas card for someone special! Hugs, sweet friend! You sure are the queen of "amazing colors!"
