My time at hosting TPT challenges when 5 Tuesdays fall in a month has been short and sweet. Unfortunately the short notice received about the recipient makes it difficult and stressful to get the story out on time, so this will be the last adventure from Whykickamoocow.
Here we have Kate singing her heart out at the Whykickamoocow Talent Show. If you are thinking that Kate looks a bit grubby, you would be correct. She wore this dress to school, then to footy practice, followed by a quick game of hopscotch and completely lost track of time. There is no time to change into the beautiful dress her mum had made especially for the occasion, not to worry, nothing much bothers Kate, she just loves singing!!
Now for the true story. I coloured Kate's dress in a really pretty pink, trouble was my copic colouring hasn't improved and it looked like 6 year old had done it. I have discovered that orange distress inks go really well over the top of pink copics. Distress inks are sometimes a bit too bright so I did my usual thing and gently sponged over the image with walnut stain. I think I got a bit carried away LOL.
The background diecut is a one off. I used an alphabet die for the first time; it came with all the letters joined together. I did one cut, then I just wanted to do Kate's name in a different colour....so I unsnapped the little things holding the die together, now I have individual letter tags......oops.
I hope this finds everyone happy and well. Thank you for looking.

Susie, agree with previous comment except I believe you should write, period! Your work is exceptional, off the charts in creativity and innovation! Combined talents are so rare and you my friend, have both! Your card, WOW! Love your raggedy distressed girl against your wonderful background! How fun is this?

Super cute card for Kate! Love your girl and her dress looks terrific! Great stamp! Love the details like the little bunny in her pocket, her braids, stripped shirt/socks, and granny boots. I'll bet this card will bring a smile to this sweet girl who is missing her G'pa. SO SORRY to hear you are stepping down as the 5th Tues challenge gal. :( I will miss reading your fabulous TPT stories with their fantastic sense of humor. I too agree that you have a gift for writing and wish you would pursue it. Perhaps if you wanted the illustrations to begin with stamped/digital images, you could work with the designers to use their images in your books. Give the whip a crack my friend!

Totally adorable! Love the image of course and your bg is fun, but the story is wonderful. I think you should pursue writing as well - you are sooooo good at it. Love your stories and your cards. Perfect amount of distressing by they way. Hugz

What more can I add to what's been said already? Fabulous card, of course - I love that image, and the way you colored it. Kate looks like she enjoys everything about life! Your first book could be a collection of images and descriptions from your gallery. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

When I first looked at the card I was thinking she is singing, "tomorrow". Great, wonderful card and story, Susie. I think that using the tag die cut out for the Bg was really inspired! Everything about this card is "Susie greatness"! Kate is going to adore it.
