The F4A challenge is the June Recipe and the MIX challenge is Positive Negativity - I am hoping what I did qualifies for this Dina. I cannot freehand squat, so I put the die for the boat face down and sprayed the white ink all around and inked a sponge with the salty ocean and it mixed with the linen to make my sky. After lifting the boat die the outline was left and I then started painting the boat using the tumbled glass and water for the sails, the salty ocean and water for the sea and the weathered wood and twigs for the hull. I added water spots in the sea then dipped a toothpick into embossing paste till very thick and rolled it onto the paper to make my white caps. I wanted a sentiment, so I die cut one sail and watercoloured it to match the other, stamped the sentiment then styled and glued. Embossed some clouds from the back of my paper and added some birds sponged with the twigs ink. Added the flag and stars and some jute hanging off the boat - it is anchored so the jute goes away - in my imagination it does! And I am winging this part too ...
J - is the jute
U - is the ultra white embossing paste
N - not my normal style, Nautical - borrowed that from Precious Kitty!
E - embossing
Thanks for looking ...

I just looked at your fabulous gallery... wow, have I missed sone awesome cards. I love the rope going off the card and all of the wonderful little details. Great idea for the white caps. My sister moved into an asdisted living center and I am helping to pack up her stuff, then I have to try to sell it for her on Craig's list. My gallery time has been limited, which is very distressing. Looking at everyone's great ideas and beautiful cards is one of my fav things to do. This is such a fun and creative card.
