Congratulations to Caryn, this week's Featured Stamper. I chose her No one stacks up to you card. The sweet little stack of teacups and the gingham DP across the middle inspired my card. I ended up with a different layout (thanks to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge) - hope that's okay.
I have long wanted to color up this cute little budgie (aka parakeet) atop the teacups (or coffee cups, if you so desire). The DP was my color pallet for the image, and it took longer to figure out the layers with their mats than coloring it. I punched two holes in the focal image to thread and tie the bow with a blue button to compliment the blue cup. Finally, I tucked a hand-made fishtail tag.
Thanks for taking a closer look - I hope you like it. It was fun to do, even though I didn't get to finish it until late Sunday night - and only posting it today. Visit my blog for more details (including the Copic markers I used). Have a great week!

What a sweet card!! He reminds me of the budgies I was given after my sister let the day into the room with my canary. Your colours and colouring are beautiful, Cheryl

First...Cheryl your card is beautiful with the dainty teacups and the sweet parakeet. Your design is wonderful with the added layers and your pretty bow. My grandmother always had a pet bird, and pretty dainty teacups. This card reminded me of her today. Thanks for sharing. Fav'd

Great card Cheryl. This is such a beautiful image. Love the way you have matched the colours of the cups to your lovely design paper - giving it such a vintage feel and looking like a tablecloth with a letter spread out on it to read with your cuppa and your best little friend to keep you company. So nicely done - as always.
