This card is for the Mojo Monday challenge for this week and Karen's colour challenge.
I had this idea when I saw the sketch on Mojo Monday and was really hoping the colour challenge would have some pink and grey or similar because that is what I had pictured. Thanks so much for a wonderful choice of colours Karen.
I was thrilled to see the colours Karen has chosen and I was even able to use green legitimately.
The card took about three hours to do but was quite straight forward.
I used the Belleek method of dry embossing inking up the embossing folder with Basic Grey using my brayer. Before I did this I stamped the greeting then over stamped with clear embossing powder and also cut the circle out with the large Spellbinders circle . nesty so that it wouldn't compromise the embossing.
I stamped the image directly to the card base and coloured it with copic. I sponged round the image with Basic grey. I also stamped the image twice more and then coloured sections of the image to layer the image as in tole work to give it dimension. Finally I added some Copic Spica pen to the stamens.
Links to some Belleek techniques below.
Thanks for looking
Cheers

Marg, this is one beautiful card. I love the layout and those flowers and how you added the extra dimension to them. Into my favorites.

Be still my heart - I love your card! I love how you created layers in your stamped image (that is colored to perfection) and I love how you combined it with the woodgrain background. TYFS. Karen.

Exquisite card of encouragement, Marg. Not only beautiful coloring of your flowers and berries, but adding the additional layer really took it a step above. Love them with the weathered wood DP.
