Today's Free for All challenge is "Honor Thy Father" - make a Father's Day card.
I had made a couple of blue and natural Bister backgrounds a while back when I made my previous Father's Day card (Old Fashioned Car by susanbri at Splitcoaststampers. This card uses the second background.
I thought I'd do something radically different with this card so after stamping the car and Gorgeous Grunge lines, I decided to cut the image out with a Nesties label. I got it cut out and then didn't like the long narrow look of it plonked down on a cardbase. I decided to put it back into the rest of the background but rather than just stick it in, I cut two more of the label shape and stacked them together - I gave the die cut section a bit of dimension.
The bister was on the focal panel on an odd angle so when I trimmed it down, I ended up having to have the two angled corners and an odd size. So I made a cardbase to fit it and I used a black cs to border it all, but didn't cut off the angles - to add interest, I attached two gold brads to the angled corners, and put the sentiment on one of the other corners.

I LOVE this, Susan! I love the way you did the label! And the background creates it's own scene! I can see the fantastic roadster running down the road and splashing through a puddle!
