Our color challenge this week is to use: Coastal Cabana, Old Olive and Very Vanilla, w/ the optional dessert: black
I have substituted white, since I have very little vanilla, and used Distress inks in the closest shades to Cabana and Olive. First I made a panel from wc cs by sponging and blending the 2 colored inks, then spritzed with my favorite shimmer spritz (love that shimmer – for both sparkle and blending the inks). Then I took my white top panel, scored around the edges for a bit of added interest, die cut the solid dragonfly (the die has 2 parts), stamped the sentiment, added sequins and then matted w/ the blended ink wc panel, which I then adhered to the card front. Then I die cut the delicate top dragonfly die cut from white, and inlaid it into the open spot in my main panel, adhering just the body so it would pop out a bit. Linking also to:

Partial inlaid technique ... LOVE IT! Gorgeous colours for your dragonfly and watercoloured frame. Thanks for playing along at Happy Little Stampers. xx
