I still had two flowers cut from old Spellbinders packaging sitting on my desk left over from my project for Lee's Non-Paper Flowers VSN challenge. So I turned them into a flower for Lisa's May Flowers challenge - although since I used blues and stamped my packaging with snowflakes, this is going to be a Christmas card.
I used the Faux Glass Flowers tutorial, using a silver pen to edge my petals. I'm all out of sparkly snowflake brads, so I just heated a pewter finish one up, dipped it in white EP, embossed it and added bling in the centre.
Foliage cut from white glitter card, and since I has those little green fronds on my desk, I added them too. Tags stamped on white card, embossed with silver EP and then washed lightly with Twinkling H2Os.
For the base, I took a quarter sheet of matt silver card and folded some silver mini punchinella over it. It's very pretty in real life, but was horrid to photograph, this is the best of over a dozen photos.

I cannot stop looking at that flower. Wow! You are so good about pointing me to techniques I have missed. These look like fun (if not really mailable).
I do think that the best cards are sometimes to hardest to photograph....

Oh my Sabrina I love the snow flower! Love the coloring and the snowflakes added to this! So beautifully done on this one! Thank you for doing a second card for my challenge.
