I pulled out a stamp set I'd never used for this set and grabbed four colors of ink to create the patterned paper for this layout. I've been wanting to do Joan's VSBN inspiration challenge but couldn't figure out how to incorporate it into the pictures I'm scrapping. This may be a stretch, but her carved crayons reminded me of ric-rac, so I added some to the layout! The title and tags were cut using the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

Very creative making your own patterned paper! I really like the tags with the journaling & how you used the ric-rac. The Plantin Schoolbook cartridge is my favorite!

Love the inspiration you drew from this challenge. The layout is great and your stamped background adds a really festive touch! Great way to get those stamps on a page!

Awesome on so many levels! First, what a clever and perfect idea to make the background panel yourself. Love it. Cool arrangement of the photos. Very fun use of the ric-rac and the journaling tags. And I so know what you mean about the bribe - been there too.

This is a clever and creative page! Love the tags and background--as always, your page is great, Cheryl! And I think Christmas-time often elicits a bribe or two! ;)
