For Impression Obsession's challenge today to create a summer project. I made this card at last weekend's Great Yosemite Stamp Escape - I had the honor of teaching a class showcasing some watercolor techniques, and 2 watercolor mediums - Color Burst Watercolor Powder and Peerless Watercolor sheets.
The card was made using the Tree Frame die, which was debossed into a piece of watercolor paper. On the back side of the card, I used a white crayon to rub over the raised outlines, creating a wax resist for my watercoloring.
The trunk of the tree was painted with Peerless paints, and then I used yellow, green, and blue Color Burst for the leafy areas, spritzing with water to let the colors blend and move. The grass was painted with the extra paint that fell onto the taped edges.

What an wonderful effect from the resist, and so very creative! The powders treated amazing foliage for the tree - this is gorgeous, Dina!
