Our FS this week is Francie, aka fschles, and I did not want the week to get away without honoring her. Francie not only has a wonderful gallery, but she is so gracious with her kind comments. I was inspired by this card and made a very CAS tribute:
I used this week's colors from the color challenge as well.
This card is going to my DD. He is struggling with many health issues and now cancer. Being a retired navy man, I thought a CAS sea scene would brighten his day :-)
Thanks for for taking a closer look. I appreciate it.

Barb, this is such a clean, clean look that perfectly suits the nautical image and sponged bg - a beautiful masculine card for your dear Dad. Love and prayers, dear Barb, xx

What a fabulous card for Dad! I see how Francie's card inspired your artwork. A wonderful CAS design. Your use of colors is amazing. I will sailing this into my favorites. It inspires me. Also, it's time to send my dad a card, too. Thanks for reminding me. TFS

Oh Barb, your card is beautiful, and such a soothing look for your dad. He must love the cards you make for him. I hope you hang them by his bed so he can look at them throughout the day. What a perfect image for a Navy man. Thank you so much for entering the FS this week.... I know that your crafting time is limited. I am doubling up on those prayers for both of you.

I really like this. It's very clean. The boat alignment is good...I like the little bit of water into the white...the flag on top....gives it a little dimension.

A stunningly simple CAS card for your Dad, Barb. I know he would LOVE anything you would do, but this one with the sailing ship will touch his heart in a special way.
