I've been meaning to do last week's Ways to Use It challenge but have had such a busy week, I've only just got to it. The challenge was Watercoloured Backgrounds, and one of the suggested techniques was Embossing Folder Stamping which I want to do more of.
So I used a Cuttlebug Christmas ornament embossing folder, and inked it up with four of my mini Distress inks, spritzed with water, and stamped onto watercolour paper.
I cut a top layer to frame it, stamped the word Christmas, and die cut the word Merry.
It's also for the May theme challenge "ornaments" for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge.

Simply wonderful! Love all the creative design ideas you applied to this card. Using the embossing folder as a stamp is a new idea to me, and then kicking it up a notch by thinking to spritz with water to make a watercolor background, and on top of that the background you created looks like a stained glass Chistmas scene! You enhanced that theme by having it mounted in back of an inverted scalloped circle opening so that it gives the effect of peering through a secret window into a magical, watercolored Christmas. Dynamic design and every bit of it is AWESOME! TFS this amazing creation.
