I met this lady at one of my commercial pools that has become a good friend. We do the word jumble together over the phone. She amazes me because she gets most of the words right. As for me, I usually have to use the computer and cheat! hehe But she is glad I can cheat because sometimes we can't figure out the words and it drives us both crazy!
Well, she turned 92 this week, so I made her this card. Hope she likes it!.....my card...
I have been taking an Art Journaling 5 Class from Scrap Time. Each day for the past month, Christine gives you a video with a different idea. This was one of them.
For the bg, I put distress inks on w/c paper adding water drops for the spots.
After it was dry, I stamped the bird then to pop him I painted white paint around him adding the doodled ribbon.
Painted his eyes with paint and beak with a gel pen. I also put another birdie on the inside. Done.
Well, that's it. A non-challenge card done. TFL :0)

LOVE how you did this! I never would have thought to paint white around the image, to set it apart from the rest of the background. This is gorgeous! Into my faves!
