I can't stop making these boxes! I keep thinking of friends who would love one of these on their birthday with a little gift tucked inside. My craft room looks like a bomb went off and so I'm forcing myself to put everything away and get some sleep before the sun comes up! BTW: I bought 3" balls (76mm) at Michael's and used a serrated knife to cut them in half - going into the ball about an inch or so around and around the center until I finally went deep enough and the ball separated into two pieces.
