hi there,
Here is my card for the IC challenge today; Inspiration Within. Audrie asked us to be inspired by one of our previous made cards Here is the one that I am remaking: http://snippets-karen.blogspot.ca/20...rainy-day.html
Once again, I made a bkg. using Bister (a paint medium- link on my blog) but in different colours. This time, I covered the whole bkg. by tapping the Bister onto my paper and spraying with water. When dry, I stamped the flowers using Stazon.
Next it was trying to figure out how to colour the flowers over the painted surface. So, first I coloured the flowers with a white Signo pen to cover the paint then used Copic markers to go over that. It gave a very unique! look to the flowers.
thanks for looking,

Karen, both your inspiration card and this one are beautiful! Thanks for explaining how you coloured the flowers.......I had been wondering about that. They are beautiful!

I like it in the blue and this color. I am seeing these Bisters a lot. Might have to get some! Your card is beautiful! Wonderful results with this technique.

You are always inspiring me, Karen with these pretty backgrounds, so I am so glad that is what inspired you for this card. Love it in the red.

Great CASE of your own work! Love both your cards (but blue is my favourite colour so lean towards that one!). I must try your technique for painting the flowers over the bister. What I do is take some bleach and a paintbrush and remove the bister colour from my image - it will lift most of it quite easily, and then you can colour the image. You can see it in the Water and Earth Elements card I just posted.
