I was inspired by the Irish Blessing on this Teapot Tuesday challenge. I remembered that I had something similar with an old CTMH stamp set. So I used my perfect pearls paint to create a watercolor background but then for some reason, I thought to mask areas using some washi tape to create these "mosaic" tiles. Then I darkened and lightened different areas. At first I stamped the sentiment directly on the paper but it quickly absorbed the ink so I stamped on a white cardstock and the matted with some scrap green paper. But before adding the stamped strip, I stamped using SU! stampin' spot of Handsome Hunter some leaves peeking out the side. Then I used a black fine point pen to draw a border around the card. That's it! The pearl paint give it a pretty shimmer. It's simple, but I really like it.

What a great background that must look fabulous painted with Perfect Pearls! A beautiful verse, too, and a terrific card!

The masking for the mosaic is so lovely! I remember a MIX challenge a while back where we were to do something along those lines. The angled tip to the sentiment panel picks up perfectly on the mosaic grid - and I bet it must shimmer so! I hate that it's so hard to photograph things like Perfect Pearls and Twinkling H2Os. I love your verse, too!

Love that "blocked" look for the mosaic background - very clever how you did that!! All the shades of green, with your leaves peeking out from behind the banner with your Irish saying - unique and very creative how you did this ! Thanks for joining us this week for the tea party!
