This is my first try making Susan's smaller rose. The rose, rose bud and stem are so pretty and such a perfect size for a card front so I decided to pair it with a simple frame background. I used a Shimmer Sheetz (Mylar sheet) behind the frame. I love the variation in color and with the frame it made me think of a stained glass window.

Oh, I just got this rose die!! I HAVE to go try it now, so beautifully done!
I love Els shimmer sheets too!! We have her and Susan coming to our Great Yosemite Stamp Escape at Bass Lake I think in 2016. Els has been a teacher for us several times with her glitters, sticker outlines, shimmer sheets...she is amazing. Gosh, I wish you lived closer, you would be an amazing teacher for the event.
Well, anyway, to get back to your gorgeous card! I love the "stain glass" in your window and the beautiful rose creation!!! Just so gorgeous!
Oh, BTW, Dina is coming this year as teacher. If you are ever planning a trip to Cali for any reason you should contact Sharon at the Cat's Meow in Oakhurst. Even a one day class event would be wonderful! Here is the link: http://www.catsmeowstamps.com/
Click on the Great Yosemite Stamp Escape for info on that while you are there.
