This the card I made for the MIX112 challenge "First Day of Spring!" -use spring-like colors and/or images!
I used white pigment ink to stamp the image, and when it was dry I colored the flowers with Distress markers. You can't see it in the picture, but a few if the more delicate flowers were brushed with Wink of Stella to add just a touch of sparkle. I don't normally make one-layer cards, but I really like how this one turned out. Since it could be suitable for so many different occasions, I'll add a sentiment when I use it (or not; it really doesn't bother me to leave off a sentiment - for the most part, recipients know why they are receiving a card...)

Oh my, this is so soft and beautiful. I love the way you've coloured these pretty flowers. I can only imagine how the wink of stella adds that touch of shimmer.

Love the white embossing against the kraft paper - hey, one layer cards can still knock your socks off - you did a gorgeous job of coloring the flowers and I bet that the wink of Stella really makes it stunning!

Oh, Jody, I love the white pigment ink (I have some of that - ha!), and what a great idea to use the Distress markers. It's beautiful! I will have to try this sometime. And, I agree with you. I rarely add a specific sentiment and just love nice sentiments or Scripture. Beautiful spring card, sweet friend! Hugs!

I love the way you colored those flowers with distress markers! They are not the easiest to blend but what a beautiful job you did with this! Love the white ink on kraft.
