This week's Merry Monday Christmas Card challenge is to use monochromatic blues on the card. And the Free for All challenge is "Baby Pinks and Blues" - to use either baby pink or blue but not on a baby card.
I stamped and heat embossed the snow dots, then sponged with two shades of blue. I die cut the village, added it with a sentiment below and set it in a die cut circle.
It's also for Happy Little Stampers sponging challenge. I was guest designer for that challenge and sponged a similar blue background using Distress inks. This time I wanted to see how sponging with the Memento inks compared so used them for this background - not nearly as easy to blend well, so everything they say about Distress inks is probably true!!

I love your peaceful Christmas scene! The blue and white makes such a nice combination. Your softly falling snow and bit of glitter really evokes a frosty winter night. Gorgeous!

So very pretty! Love the snow dot background - and how fun that you used an old SU background stamp to get this cool effect. I can't wait to try my hand at this after seeing your wonderful card...you've also inspired me to start doing some winter cards, even though it's now spring here. So glad I saw your card! TFS

This is so sweet Susan. Looks like a snow globe to me! I have the Itty Bitty stamps, but don't think I've ever used this one ... makes a beautiful snowfall. I love your sponged sky. Thanks for Guest Designing with us this month!! And thanks for playing along as well. xx

I love this, Susan! That die is on my wish list and I love how you used it along with your beautifully sponged and embossed sky! Your stitched framing is wonderful!
