This is the card I made for the CC521 challenge "LAGOONS OF DAFFODILS, STRAWBERRIES AND PEARS, OH MY!" My colors are not exact matches, but at least they are close cousins ;)!
I used 110lb paper to cut the dies and used a second pass through the Big Shot with dryer sheets to extract the paper from the dies. I peeled the die cuts from the dryer sheet, misted them heavily with Shimmer Spritz and attached to the bg layer with spray adhesive.
Since all of the negative pieces were attached to the dryer sheet, it was easy to color them with the SN pens. After I inlaid the colored pieces using Multi Medium, I decided the flower petals and the word 'hugs' needed some sparkle, also, so I applied the Shimmer Spritz with a paintbrush.
The card base was covered with the yellow cs and the focal layer attached with Sookwang tape, then added the glitter dots for extra sparkle.
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody, you are genius!! The dryer sheet technique is GREAT! Even before reading your description, I was drawn to your bright and cheery CAS-designed card with the flowers. The yellow edging holds the eye "in".

You are the clever one with the dryer sheet technique which I wrote down to make sure I remember it - and then there is this card - it is FABULOUS! I love your colours and your design. Into my faves. tfs

This is a dynamite design - bright, bold and cheerful! I love the simple way you matted this leaving only the sides showing the yellow. Susie (Australia) told me about the dryer sheet technique and I made the mistake of using scented ones - omgosh the smell was overwhelming. Since then I bought unscented - much better.

Only YOU would think to inlay all those tiny little pieces after coloring them in such bright spring-like flowers!! The dryer sheets DO make this idea of yours work like a charm!
This is brilliant!! And yes, I can feel the warm hugs all the way out here in PA! Fabulous card!!
