Hi there and a happy Sunday to you! I wanted to share the card I made for Power Poppy's March Power and Spark Challenge this past Friday. I used the adorable new stamp set, Short Stacks....isn't that little birdie the cutest thing? I colored my image with copics, die cut it out, gold leafed the edge, and layered it with a gold leafed frame using Spellbinders set Opulent Ovals. I actually had to cut the oval out twice in order for it to fit behind my main image oval. The card base is a few layers of card stock and patterned papers with some stitching detail and a little more gold leafing. Can you guess what the theme was for this challenge? GOLD! I finished my card off with some ribbon and a gemstone brad. You can see more details and photos of this card on my blog. Why don't you come on and play along with us this month at Power Poppy? You could win a prize.....yay! Thanks for taking a peek and I hope you have a great evening!

What a lovely stamp - just received it in the mail and stamped it up. You have used a beautiful colour combination and the little budgie is so nicely coloured very true to life just like the one I had when I was a kid - he could even talk so well.

Miss Katie - this is a LONG way from the everyday table settings at JammerTown! Your BG paper, along with the stitching and the gold has a little Oriental or regal look to it and the soft coloring looks wonderful on the cups and bird. Loving that bow with the big gemstone on your bow - awesome card Hon - you can tell a lot of patience went into the making!!

LOVE all of the beautiful vintage-type patterns used here, on the layers and in paper-piecing. GORGEOUS details like the beautiful ribbon and stunning sparkly embellishment. This has to go into my favorites!
I'm a huge Power Poppy fan, I think no-one creates especially floral stamps better than Marcella Hawley, and was THRILLED when she brought out her own line. I've purchased once and have another wish-list going for another time...
This is STUNNING, I love the color combination of these two main colors, really took my breath away!!!
