Well I need sympathy cards again and always think this phrase from trees three is so very comforting and meaningful. I made my background by masking the paper with painters tape, wetting it, then swishing blobs of diluted reinkers on it. I then stamped and overstamped the trees in a copper craft ink and lastly added the dots of white with pencil eraser. Although I see my mask is crooked I am pleased with the results and hey that just PROVES the card is handmade! That is my story and I am sticking to it. Happy Saturday all !!
Oh yeah, here is my inspiration piece http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/view/f...BKtzDJnW5VJ46s

Awesome, NR. Sorry that you need a card....I made one for someone that was in hospice and it's in the mail today. Always hard to say good-bye! This is absolutely stunning...love your colors, your verse....everything!

What a lovely card with the perfect sentiment to ease the pain of the recipient. Your bg is just gorgeous. I thought the bg masking turned out very nicely.. this is a "free flowing" bg and would look odd with perfectly even masking. So comforting and pretty.

This is so pretty! Looks like a forest in fall and early morning with sun shining through in certain spots! I love that look! Great job on this and love the early snow falling too! Thanks for playing!
