My aunt and uncle are celebrating their diamond (60th) wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks so I made this for them. I got the idea of putting the gold rings on the card from this week's Ways to Use It challenge - to use circles in any way on our cards.
I made two rings out of a scrap of gold cs using Nesties circles.
My friend Loll Thompson made me the diamond stencil on her Silhouette Cameo machine; I embossed it with pearlescent paste. The large diamond is a scrap of cs, covered with sookwang tape, then die cut with a Nesties diamond, then the backing paper removed. First I stuck down the two rings, and then covered it with SU Dazzling Diamonds (perfectly appropriate name, don't you think?!) glitter and rubbed it well to burnish it. Popped that up on the stencilled background, added a sentiment with ribbon, and popped the background up on the cardbase.
