Another from my Archives (a dresser drawer). Picture was taken about 20 yrs. ago. I was really into natural beauty then and shopped high and low for bunches of these various preserved weeds. Still have a whole bunch of them and they're still looking good. I hate calling them "weeds" because, to me anyway, the word seems to designate something that is not really up to par. But these "weeds" can be really beautiful. I prefer to use the word "sprig". I don't think "foliage" really applies because most times there don't seem to be any leaves on them. In the back of my mind I keep thinking I've heard of a better word for my "sprigs", but I can't seem to pull it out of my sorry little brain. A word that gives them the honor they deserve. Any ideas???

Its really extraordinary how your cards have been so well preserved. I guess when you make a card, everyone knows that it will last forever. This card is gorgeous even with those weeds!!!

So beautiful with the rich colors and wonderful sparkle! As to the weeds, they are only weeds if they are somewhere where you do not want them. Isn't it wonderful how we can find the beauty in Mother Nature's creations!
