This is my card entry for the TLC523 Challenge hosted by Joan, asking us to create a scene within a circle.
I'm also playing in the February Central Theme CT0215 which is all about the love of friendship(s). I couldn't have asked or found more precious friendships than here on SCS.
My card today is simple in style. I haven't used flowers in long time, but the older Penny Black illustrations seem to call out for them - I love their vintage look.
Last weekend I had a little practice session with my Derwent Inktense pencils, and created a little piece (not a card) to test the pigment strength - whoa! I love them but I'm still getting use to the "feel" as it were.
This card is going to my sister in Arizona who had surgery this past Monday.
As always, thank you so much for your visit.
Hugs,

Lovely little card. I'm sure she will appreciate it. Hand made cards mean so much more to most people than store bought, altho I know a lady who won't send a hand made card to anyone because she doesn't want people to think she can't afford to buy a card!

I'd say you and your new Derwent Inktense pencils have a love affair going on - the coloring on this adorable vintage looking little gal is just perfect! Love the roses on the circle die surrounding her - your Sister is really going to love hearing from you if you keep on making such sweet cards for her!! Hugs!

I love the vintage feel and such pretty colors. I just may get the courage to open up my Derwent Inktense pencils because the results you achieved are an inspiration. TFS

Susie this is adorable!! Your coloring is fantastic! I love this image and the colors you chose, I'm with Nancy, I missed a couple days in the gallery and would have missed this sweet card if I hadn't spotted it on the bottom role of cards when I was commenting on someone elses! It was so cute I had to click on it to make a comment and it was YOURS!
I love it!
