Instead of putting a big pile of sticky notes in one of those acrylic containers I decided to make one to match my craft room.
The base for this container is the bottom part of an empty cigar tin and a few pieces of black medium weight chipboard. The chipboard looked a bit plain so I took some black cardstock and used the Tiny Mosaic EF, run that thru the Bigshot, I then rubbed the embossed pieces with a Versamark ink pad en layered them with clear embossing powder, zapped this with the heattool and after cooling I repeated the Versamark and the clear embosing powder a second time.
This gives the cardstock the look of leather, (I saw this technique ones here on SCS, it was a tutorial on how to make a cute faux leather wallet by Beate) I adhered the cardstock pieces to the chipboard and decorated the back panel with a stamped and coloured image, Maude from Art Impressions.
The saying is also a stamp from AI.
Did some distressing on the edges, faux stitching, decorated with 2 cardstock buttons, some ribbon and 2 tiny buttons on her robe.
You cant see the backside but I glued on some black and white polka dot DP and a 4" x 1" strip of magnetic sheet to the backside at the top, this could hold stick pins and paperclips.
