I was a bit stumped by this week's dessert: baby or child theme, since I have no children and never made a child card. When I came across the iris technique it intrigued me so I found scraps in the colors of melon, yellow, cabana blue and pieced them within a heart die. I think it looks a lot like a baby quilt lovingly stitched from sewing scraps. I didn't get the layering exactly right but for a first time on this "intermediate level" technique I didn't want to tear it apart and start over. So, in the Navaho tradition, the mistakes are an integral part of the beauty of the piece.
