Thank you, great challenge! Buttons and lace can mean only one thing....let's make a sewing card! Used a sheet of handmade paper, that has sparkly leaves and stems added. Two pieces of lace, glued back to back. Some glitzy buttons on gold thread. And one of my favorite sets...Waltzing Mouse Sewing (don't know the proper name as the wrapper is long gone). Colored with Tombows.

Oh my - I just LOVE your stitched bird and flowers in those gorgeous bright flowers. And beautiful buttons too - everybody is bringing out buttons today which I would keep for my sewing and knitting - my craft button box is far more utilitarian! Great use of the background paper, too - I know I have some like that and I never know what to do with it.

Your handmade paper is lovely. I have told myself for many years now that I would love to sew on a card. I think it is such a nice warm touch. I like the images you used. Very nice!!

Heidi, I love the very European look of your wonderfully designed card! The bg paper is beautiful as are the stitched birds, pearlescent buttons and lace.

This is so cool! I love the stamped-sewn bird and flowers...such a pretty, folk art look to those. And your buttons, all different, are fabulous ( I have a huge button collection)...I {heart} them....awesome and creative card.

Heidi, Heidi, Heid, it's you! OMGosh, how wonderful to see you back in the gallery. You know I still have that gorgeous calendar you made for me in '08. Must be something in the air: After a two year sabbatical, I just returned to making cards too. This card is gorgeous! I should have known it had your hallmark talents all over it. It's just precious. I love the strings and that ribbon you used just adds to the dimension of your hand stitched bird. Outstanding. Welcome back.
