I did this card a bit different. The image is stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder on vellum. Then I watercolored using Spectrum Aqua markers and watercolor brush. I also used the fine tip end of the markers in a few areas to add a bit more intense color in some areas. When everything was dry, I put the piece, between 2 pieced of clean scratch paper, then ironed it to flatten it out. What ended up happening -- in addition to flattening the paper -- some of the embossing powder came off...and some flattened out. It was a happy surprise! I love it! Then I adhered the entire vellum piece to textured black cardstock. It really looks and feels really cool in real life!
For the die-cutting, I cut and embossed - then sponged on ink color with distress inks and blending foams. I covered the wooden hearts with Picket Fence Distress paint and Clear Rock Candy Stickles.
The flowers on the diecut border are colored with the markers.
