Happy Tuesday... Here is my card for this weeks colour challenge = CC517, bermuda bay, coastal cabana and old olive. desert option - layers - use 4 or more...
I coloured the upsy daisy stamp with old olive, bermuda bay and a colour close to coastal cabana - then spritzed the stamp with water and stamped onto the water colour paper. Let dry. Stamped on the sentiment - used the SAMJ for proper placement. Matted with 3 different shades of blues. I made the striped background. Cut a 4 3/4" square. Scored the bottom left side on a diagonal every 1/2". Cut strips of bermuda bay and coastal cabana papers and taped onto the bottom side of the score line. Matted with bermuda bay. Sewed edges of the image panel and the stripped dp panel. Attached the dragonfly. Popped up the image panel. Finished the inside.
Thanks for looking,
Hugs..Pat

Pat, thanks so much for describing the steps you took to create this beautiful card. The idea for the diagonal stripes is amazing, and I will have to give that a try sometime soon! Love the watercolor effect you achieved with your markers and spritzer! A real beauty!

This turned out beautifully Pat!! The way you misted your inked up stamp turned out perfectly for this. I love your stripes and the angle you have put them on. Once again, your sewing makes this extra special.
