While in a creative slump a friend challenged me to create something using a straw and blowing ink around. After many failures getting the ink to move I found the bubbles technique by Dina in the Mix28 challenge. Once again, I was getting little color on the card until I kept adding colors to the bubble mixture. It started out as an ugly yellow green but I kept adding reds, yellows and orange along with a bit of brown. I stamped the image and added gesso to the parts I wanted to color. Colored with pencils. I cut apart my Inkyliscious background stamp to use the words separately. This happened. Thanks for looking.

Oh Nancy, I just want to reach into this card to touch those flowers...they look so real. Your coloring on the leaves and flowers is just amazing. Your bkg turned out lovely. I am so glad you stuck with it. Another Nancy creation worthy of being framed and hung on the wall.

Nancy this is amazing with your bg you created. The botanical flowers are spot on for their realism. They look like the botanical prints you buy to frame. Neat idea about the gesso. Thanks for the tip. Fav'd tfs

Wow Nancy, this is both beautiful and elegant! Your background turned out so beautiful....just perfect for this great flower/butterfly collage. I love how you coloured the image. I will keep that in mind for the future. The stitching along the edges is lovely too.

You got the bg turned around to YOUR colors, Nancy...and then the card sang! Gorgeous, Gorgeous!! Not only the coloring, but the design. Your palette of colors is one of the loveliest and most distinctive here on SCS.

Nancy, your perseverance paid off! The background is fabulous! I'll have to back and look that up. You used one of my favorite images and colored it so beautifully. This is going straight into my favorites!

This happened beautifully! The colors are so soft and beautiful and the background couldn't be more perfect for showing off your amazing focal flowers, butterfly and script.

I love the straw blowing technique; I will have to look into the bubbles one, and see what the difference is. Your bg turned out lovely. Love the soft colors you used and the image you colored. The stitching is wonderful, as is all your detail. Love your card!
