I usually only make 2 cards per week, but thanks to Dolly the insomniac dog, I had a few extra hours between 3 and 5 am. That is the best time to make really messy cards...when DH is asleep. He gets so nervous when I start to take out lots of art stuff. I think he has visions of rainbow kitchen counters. The funny thing about this card is that the one color I don't like is red. I usually say that I use everything but the kitchen sink, well, I used the kitchen sink for this card. Since it was the middle of the night, I couldn't sprey my messy dylusion spreys outside. I put a box in the kitchen sink and spreyed and spritzed the paper. Then I used a stencil and added some gesso mixed with gel medium. I stamped the butterfly with versa fine and distressed the edges of the panel. I stamped the script stamp onto white cardstock and punched the flowers. The love" is cut from heavy cardstock and popped up. My hands are covered in red and I look a little like a vampire. I forgot to mention that I was inspired by all the textures and patterns in the F4A436 photo. The white lines in the plate under the cake really caught my eye and gave me the idea for the vertical lines of gesso. TFL, Francie

The contrast between the red and white is fabulous. As always, I love your punched foliage and little flowers.
It's funny - in my wardrobe red is one of my favourite colours, but I don't use it a lot on cards.
I've had those red hands too, LOL. For some reason the colour of re-inker that I seem to spill more than any other is red. And it seems to be particularly hard to shift. Just as well you weren't working today - or I hope you weren't.

Fantastic, Francie! I do love your free style and the imagination you use in your cards! Creating at that hour alone is amazing! Love the gesso and gel medium mix as well as the script stamped on flowers!
