For Anna's MIX104 Pick a Colour, Any Colour challenge.
I had every intention of picking green, and came upstairs with green in my mind. Instead I just had a lot of happy TGIF fun singing the blues on my card.
I spritzed the base layer lightly with the remnants of some homemade mister.
Then I used a TCW stencil and several colours of water pencil, and Dina's Sanded Pencil Background tutorial. I stamped all round the edges with a flourish stamp, and sponged the edges (chipped sapphire). The butterfly trail flourish was stamped with ColorBox Harbor.
I added the sentiment from Verve, and then some acrylic paint through drywall mesh. I rarely use sequins, but I liked how they looked on this so I left them.
The butterfly was cut from a scrap of watercolour paper and coloured with gelatos, then I used Harbor to define the edges. It's stamped with Off the Grid in Broken China, and to finish I added some Stickles and popped it up on foam dots.
And then the sky turned dark, the heavens opened and rain came pouring down, so it was hard to get a good photo.

Wow Sabrina this is fantastic. Everytime I look at it I see something I missed. Using the drywall is so effective. I bet this looks even more special in real life.

This is lovely, Sabrina. It reminds me of a piece of tile. The shading and flourishes around the outer edge look so pretty. I have a slight sequin aversion, but they are ideal for this card. I am inspired to give them another try. The big butterfly is the perfect finishing touch for this beautiful card.
