Yesterday was a happy day - my MISTI arrived. Would it live up to the glowing comments of other SCS members, many of whom called it the best new tool of 2014? Well, yes, it did!! I'm in love with it after making one card!
I have a very hard time getting good solid coverage on solid stamps with this one where all that solid sky is the part that gets stamped.
So I followed the MISTI video on the My Sweet Petunia blog (http://mysweetpetunia.com/64-2/) and it worked perfectly. I stamped it once and had sections with uneven coverage like I always get with large solid stamps, but with MISTI, was able to re-ink and re-stamp and get it in the exact spot as the first stamping. Note how much better the little snowflakes that are part of the stamp show up on this card than on the one I link to below.
And I did the image and sentiment at the same time! This would be so fabulous for making multiples of the same card.
I added a dark blue border with a punched edge at the bottom for added interest.
Here's the card I made at the same time with the same image but using just a regular acrylic block:

This is so pretty! Yes, I think the MISTI is such a good investment...it has already saved me lots of paper with being able to ink and re-ink to get good coverage! Enjoy it!

WOW such a difference Susan - looks like MISTI is a must have tool. Shame shipping to the UK adds almost 50% to the cost!!!!
Love the blues in this card and such a striking image, beautifully stamped ;)

This image, which is own but have never used, turned out beautifully. I definitely think my MISTI was worth every cent I paid for it! Now I just need to unmounted my considerable selection of wood mount stamps!

Well, you've sold me. I was on the fence...but definitely leaning ;) and now the MISTI goes to the top of the list. These solid stamps are the killer. I finally started using Distress inks on mine because they looked better and stamped better. But this is WONDERFUL!

Wow, Susan! That's incredible with a solid stamp! I've never seen coverage like that before! Your card is fabulous and I was sure before reading that you stamped in white and dark blue! Thanks for the information on this product!
