The CAS challenge this week is to make something that represents a resolution for the new year. I'm trying to challenge myself this year to do things outside my comfort zone and/or that I've put off for far too long. This stamp from Tim Holtz is perfect to remind me of my resolve, so I made this to hang up in my studio where I can see it daily. I used this week's color challenge colors to make it, and did some random stamping (with an old-but-never-used stamp) to create my background. I had forgotten how much I enjoy that technique! I dyed some white ribbon with a few drops of Marina Mist ink in rubbing alcohol, then tied it into a bow just to add a little something... Thanks for looking!

Beautiful bg and a super way to use the colors from the color challenge. Love the sentiment panel and I am impressed you died your ribbon!

What a great way to remind yourself of this goal! I love the way you stamped the background. I never thought of doing the ink in rubbing alchol for dying ribbon! I always used water and had to wait forever for the ribbon to dry! Thanks for enlightening me!
