This is for two challenges, the mixed media challenge 101 Drifting Away. I suffer from terrible wanderlust and I've been struggling severe back trauma for the last two years preventing me from any travel, so this is in memory of 2012 in our RV we drove through many states and stayed in Sheldon Wild Animal Preserve one night. On the gravel road heading back into the camping area, I saw a wild horse grazing and it trotted off after watching us for a time. I made hubby stop so I could take pics. I always feel so free when traveling in our RV! I added alot of paraphernalia and dimension. The chain dangle is because that year I was still metalsmithing. I re-purposed a chunk of turquoise from a piece that broke, I keep stuff like that for these special uses I bought the retired SU set "wanted" for this whimsical horse during the summer and never did open it. The entire set appears to be unused, but it was bought as used. Love this horse!

I love how you've brought so many elements together that perfectly reflect your memory. It sounds like you've had such a wide variety of artistic pursuits in your life. Good for you! Beautiful piece - it feels so ethereal and wickedly wild. Thanks for playing and sharing your story!
