Yesterday Ky challenged us to drift away... how nice. I looked at some of my old vacation photos and saw a picture of this that really stood out. The first time I stayed in CA, I stayed in the business district of San Francisco. There was a lot of cement and buildings, but it was SO BEAUTIFIED with these bright impatience flower pots. It was several years ago, but I still remember my feeling. All of that business, but the most glorious bright pots of flowers. They definitely took me away, and still do when looking at them. My husband was driving around and he let me off so that I could quick capture the magical color.

Kim, this is gorgeous and yes, you are a master of watercolor. I could only wish to be there now in the midst of dismal weather here! How gorgeous your colors are! You painted this? Just incredibly beautiful!

Yes - I can see all the buildings in the background. I have been there - years ago - and definitely remember some of the beautiful gardens too. Love the water coloured background too.

Yup, this is where I live.....in the South Bay of SF, and it can be a beautiful city. Glad you have such nice memories of it, I do too. Great card.
