This is my last week as sample maker for the Sketch Challenge. I had fun during my stint on the team. This card was originally almost a CAS card; but after I finished it, I accidentally smudged some black ink onto the yellow sun rays. Sponging all those rays took a lot of time, so I added the flourish to cover the smudge. Then I had to add the enamel dots to balance out the flourish. No more CAS!

Looking at the sketch, I had trouble visualizing how I was going to do this.....but your card is amazing. I love the cheery look and yellow rays of sunshine. I love the sun/moon faces too and how you coloured them. The flourish is the perfect embellishment!

I think that smudge was meant to be! Your flourish and dots look perfectly planned and balance that lovely image perfectly! I really like the yellow vs grey blue colours in your sun/moon. Great card!

This is beautiful, Lois! And those rays are amazing... the smudge was a happy accident as the flourish and balancing dots are just the right finishing touches.

I love how you extended those sunrays out over the card. Such cute and cheery! Of course, it is perfect from the sunshine state!!

This is SO pretty, Lois! At first glance, I thought that sketch looked top-heavy, but you worked wonders with it! I love the way you colored that marvelous sun image.
