This is my card for CC511. Barbara is our hostess and she chose whisper white, crumb cake and old olive. Our dessert this week is to use ribbon.
I decided to make a thank you card for a gift I received for Christmas. And, since the gift was a coffee travel mug I thought I would go with that theme.
My background paper is from the Stampin-Up collection "sweet taffy". My sentiment is from the MFT "perk up" set.
I stamped in choc chip ink and then used the Darice diagonal strips embossing folder.
The coffee cup die is also from MFT. I cut in crumb cake card stock and also used some SU dsp.
To complete my card I added some old olive satin ribbon and bow.
Hope you can play along with us this week. You may be our next CC fave of the week and have your card featured on our highly viewed and followed Pinterest Board. See board here.

Mary, I have so enjoyed playing with all you gals this month, thank you. This little creation is the perfect and personally suited thank you for your travel mug gift. I love how our stamping allows us to do that, and I love your perfect little satin bow that finishes this off.

Mary, I love every element of this card--the coffee cup (cute idea for the gift you received!), the pretty bow, the clever sentiment. And I've just been to my favorite online retailer to order one of those embossing folders! Love the diagonal lines! Fantastic card!

Mary, this card is cute and thoughtful, crisp and fun! What a delight. Love the polka dots, the font, the idea of giving a coffee themed card for a coffee themed gift, and I LOVE that satin ribbon. Luscious dessert and so yummy with a nice cuppa. Thank you so so much for the opportunity to be on the design team as a guest - this has been a bucket list wish and an incredible honor. Thanks for taking the new guest designers under your wing with such a warm welcome. Wishing you continued design success, and fun! and coffee, into the new year. Blessings, Lela
