My daughters have been working on an ancient civilizations project for three months. Tuesday was the Ancient World Living Museum, where the groups exhibited the multiple facets of their projects. The groups made models of what their civilization looked like, created timelines, dressed heads of famous leaders, painted murals, drew maps, wrote poems and essays, plus individually made masks and clay tablets.
I made four of these cards for Gwen's group, the Mayan civilization. When I saw CC504 colors I knew I wanted to use them for the Mayan card. I felt the two orange shades if Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral with the Kraft (Crumb Cake) would nicely represent the culture. I tried to get a little dessert of emboss resist, but I don't feel it was terribly successful. When I added the Cameo Coral ink, it all looked the same. I should have used the Cream as the base. I played a little fast and loose with SSSC197, moving the small banner element and centering the circle.
