I've had some gilding flakes around for awhile and never really figured out how to use them so finally sat down on a rainy day and used them three different ways.
This was the hardest of the three ways to do. I wanted to stamp with gilding flakes and it took a few unsuccessful attempts before I got this one. I used the large SU Christmas Star stamp as it needs to be quite a solid image for the gilding flakes to work. I used the Cosmic Shimmer glue that is made for gilding flakes and followed the video tutorial here:
I glued my stamped, gilded image to an extra piece of cs to give it more dimension, cut it out, added it to a copper background, scattered some tiny star stickers on the background, and added a gold heat embossed sentiment.
The January 2015 theme for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge is stars so I'm adding it there, and also to this week's Sparkle Creations Christmas Card challenge to do a CAS Christmas card.

Beautiful card Susan! Time to bring out my leafing sheets again because I just love how this looks on a card! Thanks for the laugh about the tutorial! I find that true of ALL of them! The person doing it is just flowing along and then I try and have lots of uh-oh's! Too funny!
