This is for Paula's Texas Snowman VSN challenge, to use water in some way on our cards. I decided to try the Watercolour Bleed tutorial, and made something of a dog's dinner of it. I kept on adding things to try to make it better, till I ran out of time. I didn't even stop to mop up some spilled re-inker, LOL. I will add gold Stickles over the gold pen edging at the top and bottom!
Stamped the rose on watercolour paper and embossed with Chinese Red ep. Misted liberally and used Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Wild Honey and Barn Door re-inkers. misted the bottom right corner and added Forest Moss re-inker, brushing it lightly over on the left side. Stamped the leaf from Roses in Winter all over the right side.
Tried spritzng with a stencil on the lefthand side (a gold-ish DIY spray), but because the card was warped from all the water, the stencilling aspect was a fail. So I stamped the whole thing with Linen using Vintage Photo. Stamped text over the flower to give it an extra lift. Added chunky white and aged teal embossing powders.
Edged the top and bottom with a gold pen, added diecut borders down the sides and finished it off with a Lili of the Valley sentiment and some heat-distressed organza ribbon.
Sorry, Paula - I did try!!

Sabrina, I think it's beautiful! I love the color mixing and the textures! I'm sorry about the spill, though! That is no fun to clean up! Thanks for playing along in my challenge!

You had me laughing for the simple reason, my watercolor hit the trash today! I love this! The added texture and script look wonderful! The position of the colors are prefect! Yours made it to a post and you should be pleased. Mine hit the trash and my colors ran into a mottled mess!
I need to find some chunky white embossing powder! This is such a gorgeous piece of art! Wonderful texture on your water color paper. This is stunning!
