What a great challenge to-day. I haven't played with the faux postage technique for ages so this was a perfect time to renew my interest. I also decided that it was also time to dig into the archives and use some old, old stamp sets that haven't seen the light of day for a very long time! My niece and nephew both have birthdays around Christmas time and I always feel that somehow it's not the same as having a summer party so this tag is supposed to feel like summer! I used my 'new' scallop punch for the tag and a spellbinder die for the inside. The greeting is from Provo craft and the dot folder is from Darice (I still haven't found my beloved 'Swiss Dot' that disappeared a while ago into the nether-nether!) I wish the gremlin who took it would make it re-appear! LOL

Sue, your Faux stamp is not only cute, but incredible. I reread your description to make sure you hadn't used a REAL cancelled stamp. The ladybug and sponging are phenomenally done. Really a darling tag...that, indeed, does say summer.

I see the gremlins are alive and well at your house too! If I didn't spend so much time looking for things I might get more cards made. I love your stamp (love the ladybug) ...and what a great tag! GREAT color choice...well done.

I love your faux postage! Your niece and nephew will love getting something that is NOT like a Christmas theme/color. Great design and I love that ladybug!

What an adorable tag. The lady bug image is so unique...postage stamps frequently use butterflies, flowers and Paris France themes. You chose the perfect colors and the dot ef is the ideal finishing touch.
