I had my monthly “sassy stampers” class this past weekend and the focus was using the four different Stampin’ Up! envelope template sets. I gave the stampers a choice between two colors and then they could choose from a myriad of sayings. I also gave a little monologue on what the USPS mailing requirements are for envelopes (and when the extra 13 cent surcharge applies) and then gave them a photocopy of the USPS “Letter-Size Mail Dimensional Standards Template”. This is the fourth of four cards. This card uses the 2x2 inch small square envelope from the Mini Envelope Template. This card showcases two techniques – vellum envelopes and decorating the envelope flap with coordinating paper.

I just found all four of these and saved them in my favorites. What an awesome class idea and the cards your created are wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful technique! Love the concept. Where do you get the postal information to pass on to yur class ? and how do you cover the envelope to match the card? I am a new demo as of February and trying to get classes put together and this would be a great item in a workshop. Thank you for sharing.

FYI, I've posted a scanned copy of the letter-size mail dimensional standards template in Forums/Resources. It includes a link to the USPS web page that discusses in greater detail the dimensional requirements. Hope this helps. Also, I'd suggest going to your local post office and seeing if you can get the official hard plastic version or ask them to make a photocopy for you.
